Ryse: Son of Rome developer Crytek Studios has officially revealed the system requirements for the PC version of its Roman third-person action game.

Over on the games official Steam page, the gorgeous former Xbox One exclusive got a decently hefty spec listing for making it the prettiest experience possible. Below are the minimum and recommended settings for running the game:

Minimum:

  • OS:Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7 or Windows 8 (64bit)
  • Processor: Dual core with HyperThreading technology or quad core CPU
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB video RAM
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 26 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX compatible Sound Card with latest drivers

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7 or Windows 8 (64bit)
  • Processor: Quad Core or Six Core CPU
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB video RAM
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 26 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX compatible Sound Card with latest drivers

A quad core of six core processor and requiring 2 GB of video RAM are the particular ones that stick out to me. The developer went on to clarify on the Steam forums some of the specs and even listed some general suggestions for 4k viewing, needing a i7 2700k or better with at least a GTX 780 or Titan to juice out the most pixels possible. I know I'm just getting by with my i7 3770k and GTX 680 to get the recommended, so I'm fascinated to see what Ryse will look like maxed out for the sake of bench marking alone.

We thought Ryse was good when it came out on Xbox One and if you missed out you can try it for yourself on PC come October 10th.
