If you're reading this in the first place you probably already know about Entergram. They're currently the biggest publisher of visual novels in Japan when it comes to console ports. Entergram regularly develop brand new games as well, and they announced a PS4 and Switch game for The Ryuo's Work is Never Done!.

Ryuuou no Oshigoto!, to cite its Japanese title, will be launching for PS4 and Switch, on February 27, 2020, in Japan. The game will be priced at 7000 Yen (tax excluded) and there's also a Limited Edition for 10,000 Yen (tax excluded).

Ryuuou no Oshigoto!'s announcement first leaked from the next issue of Dengeki PlayStation. Entergram then revealed the game and opened its official site.

Ryuuou no Oshigoto! is originally a light novel written by Shirow Shiratori and illustrated by Shirabii. It's basically Shogi plus harem elements, but with a focus on realistic Shogi. It's not the Saki of Shogi, if you're wondering about that. Ryuuou no Oshigoto! is pretty popular and also got an anime in 2018, so it's not surprising Entergram is adapting it into a game.

Ryuuou no Oshigoto!'s gameplay will be separated into three different parts. There are visual novel parts, which will follow the same story as the anime and novel, but will also include a new original story partly written by Shirow Shiratori. It's just a guess, but the game will probably include different romance routes for each girl as well.

Next, the game will also feature playable Shogi parts, with different difficulty levels.

Lastly, Ryuuou no Oshigoto! will have quizz parts. These will include Shogi-related questions, story-related questions, and Tsume Shogi puzzles to solve. Clearing the quizzes will unlock CG illustrations.
