There will be a presidential election this year, so it is fitting that Volition, Fishlabs and Deep Silver would bring Saints Row IV, which makes players the president of the United States, to Nintendo Switch. That being said, the port is launching sooner than you might think. Even though it was only revealed today, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected will release for Nintendo Switch on March 27.

Because this is the Re-Elected version of Saints Row IV that came to PS4 and Xbox One in 2015, the Nintendo Switch version of the game will come with 25 pieces of DLC including the story expansions The Saints Save Christmas and Enter the Dominatrix. Gat Out of Hell was not mentioned in today's announcement. Saints Row IV: Re-Elected for Nintendo Switch will also get a physical release, though it is exclusive to GameStop. Those who pre-order will also get a set of pins.

Otherwise, this port should be the same wacky open-world game where you gain superpowers and become president that we know and love. I really like this game, and I'm glad that it will find new life on Nintendo Switch like Saints Row: The Third, though I do hope it runs a bit better. This Saints Row IV: Re-Elected port for Nintendo Switch is being handled by Fishlabs once again, and they don't have the best track record on Switch with Manticore: Galaxy on Fire and Saints Row: The Third as they both had technical issues. Hopefully, they've been able to optimize their engine over the past year and get things running in a smoother fashion.

If this port is good, it can tide players over until Saints Row V releases sometime over the next couple of years. While you can already play Saints Row IV on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, it will finally be coming to a Nintendo console on March 27.
