Developer Edelweiss has released some new gameplay footage of Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin's chibi protagonist in action. You can check out the video down below. In it, we get a new look at the game's beautiful visuals as well as some tools Sakuna will be using in combat.

Sakuna will be able to use her "wing robe" to throw herself around the battlefield, as well as latch onto enemies so that she can toss them into others. She'll also be able to use this tool to traverse different environments in Sakuna's platforming sections. The title looks as though it won't only contain 2.5D environments but 3D as well.

You play the game as a harvesting goddess who's banished to a remote island with some other outcast humans. From there you'll explore, destroy demons, and plant crops to ensure that the humans can live happier lives on the island. You'll be improving your farming skills and combat skills throughout your time with the story. The game looks incredibly charming and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is set to launch sometime this year for PS4 and PC. For more, you can check out the game's reveal trailer that was shown way back when during E3 2017.
