Announced today at Microsoft's E3 expo, Ubisoft's Splinter Cell: Blacklist features a brand new role and all new abilities for Sam Fisher. Blacklist will feature Kinect's voice recognition software to distract enemy mercenaries into stealth ambushes and call in air strikes while you control Sam in fire fights. Admittedly, the trailer for Blacklist featured a lot of run-and-gun third party shooter action, but with a Splinter Cell title, those dark corridors can't be far away.

Ubisoft blew my sock off with the voice recognition software interacting with the active game play. As a game design student, the idea that real time-input can be made through audio commands as well as controller choices brings a whole new dimension to game play options. The Blacklist trailer hints to Sam playing his own angle through the upcoming conflict, and I can't wait to see how it plays out. You can view the trailer below.
