Same Sex Marriage Confirmed for Skyrim

By Chad Awkerman

Today Bethesda confirmed that you will be able to marry a same sex partner in their massive RPG, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. If you haven’t heard, Skyrim is going all Fable on us and including things like shop and property owning and marriage, so going this route makes logical sense for Bethesda, who is all about giving the player choice in just about everything they do in-game.

The company’s front man, Peter Hines, was asked on Twitter why they haven’t said much about same sex marriage in the game (or marriage in general, for that matter), and replied that it’s “not hush hush, [we’re] just not making a huge deal out of it.” And followed up with the revelation that, “you can marry anyone.”
