Samurai Gunn 2 Revealed for Nintendo Switch; Coming in Early 2019

Samurai Gunn 2 is hopping onto Nintendo Switch with marked improvements; the game is coming in Early 2019 but you can catch the launch trailer now.

In today’s Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase, we are getting a ton of platformers. But none looked as action packed as Samurai Gunn 2 — a sequel of 2013’s Samurai Gunn.

Developed by a co-creator of Hyper Light DrifterSamurai Gunn 2 will have the protagonists working to discover the mystery behind Gunn City’s paranormal activity. The game will be shipping with some improvements for the Nintendo Switch version: namely, improved controls, new levels, and new characters. Even better, you will be able to play the game with up to four friends in a versus mode.

The samurai bushido-chique is an up-and-coming flair that many games are buying into. Further to that point, fellow Nintendo Switch game The Messenger comes out later this week and draws from a similar artstyle. You can check out our review of that game where we gave it a 9.5 out of 10.

According to the Nindies Showcase, Samurai Gunn 2 will be making its way to Nintendo Switch sometime in early 2019. Meanwhile, catch the teaser trailer for the game, below:
