SNK's Samurai Shodown is just over a month away from launch; in fact, its PS4 and Xbox One release date was just moved up to June 25. As we approach its release, the developers are making sure they highlight all the different fighters players will be able to use at launch. While previous trailers have focused on new characters such as Darli Dagger or more obscure ones like Shiki, today's trailers highlight two classic characters that any longtime fans of the series would know: Haohmaru and Genjuro.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the Samurai Shodown series, Haohmaru is the protagonist who was introduced in the first Samurai Shodown and has made an appearance in every game in the series since. His move set seems largely similar, if somewhat tweaked in more ways, to previous games in the series, which should be a relief to those who have used Haohmaru for a long time. Check Haohmaru's trailer for yourself below:

Then there's Genjuro. Even though he didn't appear until Samurai Shodown 2, Genjuro cemented himself as a major rival to Haohmaru and has appeared in most entries of the series since. Genjuro's fighting style remains forward facing, brutal, and largely based around Hanafuda cards, which should make him interesting to use. Below, you can watch the character trailer for Genjuro:
