SNK published today another trailer for the brand new Samurai Shodown, introducing the female warrior Darli Dagger. She's one of the three brand new characters in this Samurai Shodown reboot along with Wu-Ruixiang and Yashamaru Kurama.

Darli's fighting style relies on her brute strength. She overpowers her opponents with her giant dented blade, which she uses just like Kisame's Samehada in Naruto. Darli's blade can also turn into a drill, and that's a really cool feature in my book. You can check it out with the trailer below.

The previous trailer focused on fan-favorite, Ainu inspired defender of nature Nakoruru. We've also interviewed the game's development team at PAX East 2019.

While the game isn't out yet, SNK reported during an investors meeting that Samurai Shodown is already a financial success thanks to its massive pre-orders. Many fans around the world have been waiting for the franchise to come back, and SNK has recently proved it's back in the game and trustworthy with how KOF XIV turned out. SNK also announced two new consoles, the NeoGeo 2 and the NeoGeo 3, and a brand new Metal Slug during that same meeting. You can read all about it in a previous story.

Samurai Shodown launches on June 27 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and in late 2019 on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Samurai Shodown will also be getting its own fighting tournament at Evo 2019 from August 2 to 4 in Las Vegas.
