On Friday, indie developer Sand Sailor Studio released a trailer announcing their upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer game Bossgard. The goal of the game is, well, to become the boss.

Players will choose between a variety of different bosses to battle. The one most predominately featured is literally an angry slice of bread as you can see in the trailer below. It seems like you can either battle your friends as the main "boss" or team up to take down the larger bosses. Battles will take place in a variety of "wacky" arenas. One looks like a group of tropical islands while another may take place in a kitchen as it appears that a giant coffee cup is sitting next to the battle area.

Sand Sailor Studio, the game's developer, is known for their atmospheric puzzle game Black The Fall which is about an old machinist plotting his escape from an oppressive Communist regime.

Bossgard does not have a release date or announced platforms at the moment, but Sand Sailor Studio's YouTube video of the trailer says that players will need to "grab a gamepad or smartphone" to play.
