Nicalis Inc. revealed the release date for their retro action-adventure game, Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San. The game releases for PC and Switch on October 30th.

The game was initially announced back in 2014 with a demo, so it’s nice to know it’s finally coming. Its charming atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve brought out your Game Boy and AA batteries out of the cellar. Visually speaking, it may turn out to be one of the best homages to Nintendo’s legendary handheld, going as far as using a similar color palette.

You can read more about the game’s wacky story and check the previous trailer here.

Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San was designed by Christophe Galati, a French indie developer. I’ll be sure to get the game, not only because it looks good, but to support a fellow comrade as well.

You can watch the new announcement trailer below.
