All things must come to an end and this stands true for Animal Crossing's spinoff, Animal Crossing Plaza app. This free download from the Wii U eShop will close its doors on December 22nd.  

Just before you dry those tear, it was also announced that January 5th will see the end of the Animal Crossing Plaza Community on Miiverse. Meaning that you can no longer post about your adventures but you can still read posts from the past.
