Scarlet Nexus, the new psychokinesis Action RPG by Bandai Namco, was featured at IGN Summer of Gaming today. We got a video interview with Game Director Kenji Anabuki and Producer Keita Iizuka, along with new gameplay.

First off, it's worth mentioning that thanks to this developer interview, we for the first time heard that Kenji Anabuki is the game's Director. Kenji Anabuki previously worked as a game designer on Tales of Symphonia, Abyss, Vesperia, Xillia and Xillia 2.

Over on Twitter, Kenji Anabuki's been mentioning for months now in his profile he's working on a new game. We know what it is now.

On the interview, Producer Keita Iizuka explained how Bandai Namco wishes to make something fun and exciting for next-gen RPGs with Scarlet Nexus. One of game's biggest appeal is its beautiful, next-gen graphics.

Furthermore, we learned unsurprisingly that Scarlet Nexus will have no story relations to past Tales of Series games. With that said, the development team is using its know-how from the Tales of Series in order to make an exciting story and battle system. There will be multiple similarities with the Tales of Series in that regard.

While Scarlet Nexus is a high-speed action game, strategical elements will also play a big role. Players will need to manipulate the right objects in the environment with the protagonist' psychic powers to defeat the enemies.

You can watch the interview yourself below along with the new gameplay video. We've included screenshots from it too.
