Similar to most of the other story-driven games, the Scarlet Nexus new game plus mode features some rewarding options that allow you to start your second playthrough stronger.

Scarlet Nexus is currently your best chance for an entertaining hack and slash adventure with decent replayability.

  • GUIDE: How Long Is Scarlet Nexus?

Featuring two different protagonists, Scarlet Nexus provides two distinct perspectives of the same story. So, you will need to finish both if you want to find out all the secrets. And, that means you are going to start a new game plus.

How to Start a New Game Plus

After finishing your first playthrough, you will need to create a new Clear Save file. This is where your New Game Plus progress will be stored.

Keep in mind that if you want to play your first playthrough again, you will need to switch to your first save slot.

Although the game features two different protagonists, you can still carry over some of your items to the second playthrough with a new character, but not all of them.

What’s Included in the Scarlet Nexus New Game Plus?

Here’s the list of things you can carry over from your first playthrough to your second (Thanks, RPG Site!):

  • Level
    • This won’t be available in a new game plus with a new character
  • BP
  • Money
  • Play Time
  • Equipment (Weapons and Plug-ins)
  • Most Items
  • Shop Inventory
  • Library Characters
  • Library Help
  • Plug-in Parallelization Program V and Plug-in Parallelization Program H
  • SAS levels
    • This won’t be available in a new game plus with a new character.

It’s worth noting that if you complete both character stories, you will be able to switch instantly between protagonists in your third playthrough.

Scarlet Nexus is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The developer has not revealed any plans for a Nintendo Switch version up to this point.
