The Darwin Project, an upcoming battle-royale game from Scavenger Studios, has already showed off some of the things it does to set itself apart including tracking, temperature, and a smaller map that leads to more fast-paced fights. Additionally, the show director, who serves as a Hunger Games-esque announcer, has the ability to influence the entire match and the developers recently unveiled that the Director can turn off gravity.

During a match, the Show Director can activate a powerful gravity storm that allows players to jump to insane new heights, a move that will change the way players explore, track, and most importantly battle.

The ability was revealed as the first phase in a contest in which players receive clues and the first person to correctly guess the Show Director ability wins access to the game's alpha test. The first clue was a painting of Sir. Isaac Newton with an "X" over his face.

As more Show Director abilities are unveiled, we will continue to see the ways that the arena can be manipulated, and notably, how the game's viewers will have a say. The Darwin Project is looking to excite the many people who prefer to watch games than to play them. You can check out our preview of the game here. Be sure to stay tuned as more Show Director abilities are revealed.

The Darwin Project is set to launch for Xbox One and Windows 10.
