Scorpions Daughter in Mortal Kombat (2021)

Not much is known regarding Scorpions Daughter in the new Mortal Kombat movie, but here’s what we do know. Be warned SPOILERS are ahead.

In the opening sequence of Mortal Kombat, Hanzo (Scorpion) and his family are killed by Bi-Han, an assassin of the Lin Keui Clan. The only survivor of the attack is Scorpion’s infant daughter.

Before Hanzo and his family are killed by Bi-Han, Harumi, who is the mother of Hanzo’s children, hides their baby daughter in the floorboards of the house.

His daughter has no name in the movie, as she is discovered by the elder god Raiden and taken away as a baby. She is however credited on IMDB as ‘Hasashi’s Baby’, portrayed by Mia Hall.

Although that appears to be the last we see of Scorpion’s daughter, she does play a pivotal role in the movie. The main protagonist of the movie, Cole Young, is a descendent of Scorpion through his daughter and begins the chain of events in the new Mortal Kombat movie.

Scorpions Son – Satoshi Hasashi

Scorpion’s Son is Satoshi Hasashi and is portrayed by Ren Miyagawa. In 2021’s Mortal Kombat, he also goes by his pet name Jubei.

Satoshi plays a minor role in Mortal Kombat as he is also killed at the very beginning of the film by Bi-Han. In the opening sequence, Satoshi does jump in front of his mother to defend her from Bi-Han, but is ultimately killed by Bi-Han and discovered frozen with his mother.

Although only a minor character, Satoshi does play an important role in the Mortal Kombat universe, as he is one of the driving reasons why Hanzo returns as Scorpion.

Mortal Kombat (2021)

The new Mortal Kombat Movie directed by Simon McQuoid released in select theatres on April 23, 2021 in the UK, US and more.

The movie’s synopsis is that “MMA fighter Cole Young seeks out Earth’s greatest champions in order to stand against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe.”

Currently Mortal Kombat has opened to mixed review but fairly positive overall. As of writing, it has a 7.0 rating on IMDB.
