During the Gundam Game New Year Festival 2018 livestream from Tokyo, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that SD Gundam: G Generation Genesis will be released in Japan for Nintendo Switch.

The announcement was accompanied by a trailer, showcasing the game running on Nintendo's new console. We also got to see a few screenshots showcasing some scenes with the mobile suits in action.

For those unfamiliar, it's a strategy JRPG featuring mobile suits mostly from the Universal Century Gundam series, including a ton of familiar mobile suits that fans of the anime will recognize.

The game was originally launched in Japan for PS4 and PS Vita on November 22nd, 2016. It's fairly old, but it's definitely a good chance for the Nintendo fans that missed it over a year ago. As a bonus, it'll also include all of the DLC packages released for the previous platforms with no additional purchase required as it's usual for this kind of ports.

As an additional bonus, a copy of the Super Famicom game Super Gachapon World SD Gundam X will be included in the package as a download code for those who will purchase the first print of the new game.

SD Gundam: G Generation Genesis will launch in Japan on April 26th, 2018, and it will cost 6,800 yen.
