Season 3: A Pirate's Life was arguably one of the biggest Sea of Thieves seasons since the game launched, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end as the time has come for the release of Season 4.

Although Season 4 will have big shoes to fill, Sea of Thieves fans can still expect some great content coming their way this week with plenty to look forward to.

Sea of Thieves Season 4 Release Date

The developers have made it official, Sea of Thieves Season 4 will officially release for PC and Xbox on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021.

Season 4 will take players deep underwater to discover new features, voyages, and plenty of rewards.

One of the many new features arriving in Season 4 is the new Siren Shrines that can be found in the Sunken Kingdom, deep underwater. There will be a total of 6 Siren Shrines for players to tackle, all each having their own unique threats, but plenty of plunder for players to get their hands on.

Sea of Thieves Season 4 Release Time and Server Maintenance

UPDATE: The release time for Sea of Thieves Season 4 has been made official. As expected, servers will be taken offline at 10AM BST followed by the release of the new season.

ORIGINAL STORY: Although an official release time for Season 4 hasn't been announced just yet, the developers always release updates and new seasons at the same time.

Unless anything drastic changes, fans can expect the Sea of Thieves servers to be taken offline at 2AM PT / 5AM ET / 10AM BST for server maintenance. This usually takes between 1 and 2 hours, after which players will be prompted to download a new patch and Season 4 will begin.
