Sea of Thieves lies just over the horizon, and if you're looking to get in the mood for Microsoft's upcoming exclusive then you might just have to check out the game's special edition Xbox One controller.

Whether it be drinking grog, singing with shanties, or shooting yourself out of a cannon, the controller in your hand resonates with the controls you're inputting, and that's because it's made up of almost all of the things that make a pirate–well–pirate-y.

It features a purple translucent body, akin to Atomic Purple, covered in glow-in-the-dark "barnacles" and skull, while a non-functioning compass encompasses the left joystick. The back features a single golden trigger, probably because the pirate in you gambled away the other one.

The controller will retail for $74.99 beginning on February 6.

Sea of Thieves is still a few months away, with the release scheduled for March 20, 2018, but that also means that there's plenty of time to see about snagging this controller before you and your mateys log on for the first time.
