Today Rare released a new trailer of its upcoming shared-world adventure game Sea of Thieves, that is currently in technical alpha.
And that’s exactly what the trailer is all about, showing content updates coming to the next patch to the alpha, and there is quite a bit to see.
We get the cheeky non-verbal communication menu, the even more cheeky brig (that lets crews vote a member into the brig), the ability to scuttle your own ship, and small ships that can be sailed by fewer crew members.
As usual, the video is also topped by the game’s absolutely charming visuals and painterly art style, all in crisp 4K resolution, which never hurts if your monitor and bandwidth can take it.
If you want to see more, you can also enjoy the panel from New York Comic Con with the reveal of the Pirate Code, another recent trailer showcasing more 4K visuals and an explanation of what the game is all about, another gameplay video, and a gallery of semi-recent screenshots. You also should not forget to watch our video interview with Rare Studio Director Craig Duncan.
Sea of Thieves will launch in early 2018 for Xbox One, Xbox One X and PC.
