Sea of Thieves finally set sail last week after several years of anticipation, and while the game's compatibility with the Xbox Game Pass subscription service has been in the spotlight for some time, at the moment it seems that players of the game through Game Pass may be unable to access the game.

According to the Xbox Live Status Page, at the moment an issue is affecting some Xbox Game Pass subscribers preventing them from accessing and playing Sea of Thieves, though Microsoft stated that the support team is "working on the issue."

Developer Rare also stated on their Twitter page that the game's development team is also looking into the issue and will "resolve it as soon as possible," though no specific reason from either Microsoft or Rare was provided yet as to why the game is currently unavailable to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Sea of Thieves is available now on Xbox One and PC. For more on the game, you can check out details on the game's next update and a video from the Rare team responding to feedback from the game's fans and playerbase.
