It looks like you can't keep a Saiyan down as the mega-popular Fortnite has teased a new crossover with Dragon Ball Super. Not only that, but the new crossover begins tomorrow, January 31.The new crossover event was teased on Twitter by the official Fortnite account. The tease is nothing major, just an image of a Red Ribbon bomber plane with the text caption of January 31, 2023. The Red Ribbon tease is an interesting one and points to what the event may be centered around. For those unaware, the Red Ribbon Army were antagonists in the original Dragon Ball series, which followed the journey of a young Goku as he fought to become the strongest warrior. While they mostly faded into the background in DBZ, save a mention in the Cell arc, they reappeared in Super as well as the latest movie.Related: Fortnite Creative 2.0 Has Been Delayed To MarchThis tease could point to the crossover being centered around Super Hero, possibly adding Ultimate Gohan and Orange Piccolo as new characters in the shop. It's also possible that Gamma 1 and 2 could be added as playable characters as they were the central antagonists of the film. The bomber could also be pointing to a gameplay occurrence on the map with players being tasked with taking down Red Ribbon soldiers or Cell Max as a roaming co-op boss.

This isn't the first time that Fortnite has crossed over with the popular anime. Back in August 2022, there was an initial crossover that placed Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus into the battle royale. The event also gave all players access to the signature Kamehameha attack, turning everyone into Super Saiyans. The crossover proved incredibly popular, bringing a massive fanbase that may have otherwise skipped the game. One can only speculate that the new crossover happening tomorrow looks to capture that same wave of popularity. Considering that Super Hero premiered last year to a good level of hype this bet is more than likely to pay off.

Fortnite's recent crossovers seem to be pushing harder to be more in line with new releases as they occur. The recent Strange Transmissions Quest featured Isaac Clarke from Dead Space only a few days before the remake's release. With this focus on striking while the hype is hot, Fortnite could continue to see spikes in players with each new crossover event.
