The first batch of screenshots from the upcoming fighting game re-release Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate has been released. These screens show us a glimpse of the game's only confirmed new fighter Momiji. Aesthetically, she makes the transition from Ninja Gaiden with such ease - Team Ninja's games are awesome like that. The screens also give us a look at one of the game's new stages: Sky City Tokyo. Like Momiji, this stage has been taken from the Ninja Gaiden games.

There are also a few new details about Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. The game will contain some of the content found in the Vita port Dead or Alive 5 Plus. I'm assuming that at least the advanced training mode and challenges will be among this new content. Finally, we also have a release window for the game. Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will be available in Japan this Fall, making a 2014 international release seem likely.

We'll keep you posted on a specific Japanese release date and any news on an international release. View the new screens below.
