Remember when I complained that I couldn't see the difference between the original Final Fantasy X and the HD upgrades? It seems Square Enix took that challenge and rose me a trailer showing exactly what they changed. And I would be remiss if I said I wasn't impressed.

This video uses the very iconic opening scene from FFX to display a split screen comparing the regular SD graphics to the upgraded HD graphics. Boy, what a difference high definition makes. The lighting and colors have been improved dramatically, the graphics smoothed out and the character models--especially the faces--look really great now.

In other news, the contents of the Limited Edition set Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster have been revealed, which includes a 24-page early PS2 system era concept artbook, along with commentary from the original Final Fantasy X and X-2 development teams and a special message from Producer Yoshinori Kitase. The best part? If you pre-order the game, you get an automatic upgrade to limited edition.

Both the comparison trailer and screenshots of the Limited Edition collection and gameplay footage are posted below.
