The story of how Bruce Wayne became Batman is one of the most revered and retold stories in comics. Having been adapted multiple times for film and television, Warner Bros. Montreal will now take a crack at telling part of the story in their upcoming action-adventure adaptation, Batman: Arkham Origins.

Arkham Origins will chronicle Batman's second year on the job, and is loosely based on the graphic novel of a similar name, Batman: Year Two. The story will also take cues from Batman: Year One, as well as numerous other arcs. The archenemies, Batman and the Joker, will be voiced by Roger C. Smith and Troy Baker, respectively.

Batman: Arkham Origins is being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC on October 25th, 2013. An iOS/Android version is being developed by Netherrealm. A Vita/3DS version of the game, Batman: Arkham Origins – Blackgate, is also in development by Armature Studio and will be released on the same day.
