After the successful port of Persona 4 Golden to PC, Publisher Sega is considering giving other Atlus titles similar treatments. The Japanese developer's games may soon be making their way to other platforms, including PC, in the form of regular ports, remakes or full-on remasters.

Sega's intent to rerelease Atlus titles was revealed by Sega Sammy president and CEO Haruki Satomi during a financial results briefing posted on November 6. As translated by Gematsu, Satomi said "As for Steam, while we haven't been actively releasing Atlus titles on PC, we felt that there was much potential there and put out a direct port of Persona 4 Golden for PC, and the user response was far beyond our expectations." On Steam, Persona 4 Golden currently boasts over 27,000 reviews and an overwhelmingly positive score. In our review of the game, Logan Moore gave it a 9.0. "That being said, we hope to release Atlus catalog titles across various platforms, whether as direct ports or in the form of remasters or remakes," said Satomi.

Sega has explored rereleasing Atlus titles before, but this is the first time the company has been concrete about its plans rather than hypothetical. This past August, Satomi and Koichi Fukazawa, the senior executive vice president and group CFO at Sega Sammy, were asked about how Persona 4 Golden's release and reception on Steam would affect future plans for Atlus games. While the answer back then wasn't as firm, it was a clear indicator that Sega was gearing up for a solid plan to rerelease titles on other platforms.
