SEGA Teams Up with Artists for a Limited Edition Set of Beautiful Prints of SEGA Classics
While the company has been out of the console development scene for over 15 years, SEGA produced numerous classics during its time with titles like Golden Axe and Jet Set Radio conjuring the imaginations of gamers while also taking some large visual/gameplay risks – luckily, a new limited edition batch of art from SEGA is coming to honor some of the company’s cherished classics.
In a collaboration with art distributor Cook & Becker, SEGA has revealed a series of special limited edition art prints based on five of the company’s classic games, with prints dedicated to Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, Phantasy Star, Streets of Rage, and Shinobi that will feature brand new, original artwork that are now available to purchase.
Each of the five prints will come as a limited run, with the prints all hand-numbered from prints of 200 copies. The prints each retail at $115 unframed, with measurements of 24″ x 36″ for the final print. The first five prints are all original works by Roman van der Haven (Jet Set Radio), Gerald Parel (Golden Axe), Julien Renoult (Streets of Rage), Emmanuel Malin (Shinobi), and Kilian Eng (Phantasy Star).
After previously releasing various prints based on titles such as The Last of Us, Journey, Okami, and Mass Effect, Cook & Becker confirmed that its collaboration with SEGA will continue with another limited edition run of prints to release this summer.
