After releasing earlier this March, the latest shipping totals for FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice have now been divulged, and they're pretty impressive.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has now sold-in 3.8 million units in total across all platforms worldwide. In case you're unaware, sold-in means that this is the number that has been shipped to retailers, not sold-through, which would be the number of copies that consumers have bought. This information was last updated at the end of June, which means that in the weeks since, the copies shipped have likely passed 4 million.

While 3.8 million might not be a massive total for some of the year's more prominent releases, for a more niche action game such as Sekiro, this is actually a pretty impressive trajectory. Upon its release earlier this year, Activision announced that the game had sold 2 million copies within only 10 days after launching. It'll be interesting to see how it continues to chart throughout the remainder of the year.

On a personal note, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is likely still my favorite game of the year. I'm a big FromSoftware fanboy, so that shouldn't come as much of surprise. If you've been hesitant to give one of From's action games a shot, I think this is as good of a time as any to try and jump in. If you want to hear more of my thoughts on the game, be sure to check out my review from earlier in the year.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
