The Senran Kagura Burst remake Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal has been released in Japan, and Marvelous Entertainment is celebrating with free PS4 themes.

To be precise we're getting two themes on the Japanese PlayStation Store. The first can be downloaded here, and the second here. They are static, but they both come with an original music track for the game, so they're definitely not bad, especially considering the lovely illustrations.

Two additional themes are also available for purchase, one dedicated to the Hanzo National Academy, and the second to Homura's Crimson Squad each costs 324 yen. I haven't purchased them, so I can't assess the quality, but given the file size, it's likely that they're similar to the free ones, with static backgrounds and custom music.

You can check out a few images below (the first two themes portrayed are the free offers).

Keep in mind that you'll need a Japanese PSN account to download and install the themes. If you don’t have one, you can prepare ahead of time thanks to our handy guide. After you installed them, they'll be available for all of your accounts as long as the PS4 is set as primary.

The game released in Japan on February 22nd, 2018 exclusively for PS4. While there is no official announcement about a western release for the moment, Xseed Games appears to have recently teased an upcoming localization.

If you want to see what it plays like and learn more about it, you can check out a bunch of gameplay from the prologue of both factions, and our semi-recent interview with Producer Kenichiro Takaki.
