Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu came with a sizable spread on Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, including plenty of new screenshots and information.
We get to see all the ten kinds of water guns in action, each of which has two different fire modes.
We know that swimsuits become see-through when they get soaked by enemy fire, but this effect isn’t just eyecandy. It will activate a “Wet Power Up!” effect, allowing the player’s gun to fire without consuming water for a certain time. This grants a chance to deal high damage, but it also can trigger the same effect on the enemy, that paving the way to a reversal of the situation.
Funnily, the effect happens with friendly fire as well, so you can shoot your allies to give them the “Wet Power Up!” bonus. Basically, you can feel useful by making your friends wet and their bikinis see-through.
In the in-game shop you can purchase a variety of items, including costumes, accessories, hair styles, weapon skins, cards, avatar icons and stamps for the online mode and more. There is a large selection of customization options to keep players hooked.
On top of that, you can even change the character that will work as a shopkeeper in the in-game store, making sure that your favorite character will always welcome you with a smile, wearing the store’s apron… and basically nothing else. Talk about quality of life.
Do keep in mind that the screenshots in the gallery below are from magazine scans, which means that their quality is far from the final visuals you’ll experience on your console.
If you want to see more, you can check out the first five guns in more gameplay videos, and the second group of five, on top of a whopping 20 minutes of gameplay filmed at a recent demo event.

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash will release in Japan on March 16th, with a western launch also announced, but no actual details on when it will be.
