The Senran Kagura series always had a strong presence on portable consoles, both on 3DS and PS Vita, but Producer Kenichiro Takaki clarified, during an interview on 4Gamer, that the new game Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash includes a lot of elements that simply wouldn't be possible on a portable platform.

"In March 2017 Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash will launch! Since this game is the first releasing only on a home console, it's packed with things that wouldn't be done on portable consoles!"

Takaki-san also teased more games coming in the future:

"We will continue to work hard, including new works and new developments.  So for now, thank you again for this year, and let's do our best in the next."

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash releases in Japan on March 16th, exclusively for PS4, with a western release already confirmed, even if there is no clear information on when it'll happen.
