Genshin Impact revealed several new details on the housing system, now officially titled the Serenitea Pot System, coming in Ver 1.5 Beneath the Light of Jadeite, we summarized everything below.

First teased a little bit after Genshin Impact's launch in September 2020, the Serenitea Pot system will let us freely customize our own home, craft furniture, and earn extra rewards.

Genshin Impact - How to unlock the Serenitea Pot

First, you'll need to be at AR 35 or above, and to have completed the main story quest Chapter I: Act III "A New Star Approaches" As in, you need to be past the point in the main story when we entered Madame Ping's teapot, which makes perfect sense. As it's world-building and a demonstration of how the Serenitea Pot works. Adepti uses them as media to channel their power and create Realms and Abodes.

If all the above conditions are cleared, you'll unlock the "A Teapot to Call Home" quest. Simply clear it by following the instructions in-game, as Genshin Impact always tells you where to go on the map, and you'll get your Serenitea Pot Gadget.

Go to the Gadget menu in your inventory, and use the Serenitea Pot to summon it. Then interact with it to enter. Once you're inside, you can interact with the Pot again to leave. Else, you can also directly teleport outside through the map.

Realm layouts

When you first enter the Serenitea Pot, you'll be asked to select one of three different layouts.

Cool Isle: An island cluster surrounded by water. One wonders how many cups of tea can be brewed from this vast ocean.

Emerald Peak: A cloud piercing mountain peak. Well, that's how it looks, at least. But being inside a teapot and all, the highest mountain probably reaches no higher than the stalk of a tea leaf.

Floating Abode: An island cluster suspended in mid-air. A typical feature of many adepti realms. A boundless world featuring nothing besides a cluster of islands.

Trust Rank

The first time you craft and obtain a furnishing, you earn Trust. Accumulate Trust to increase your Trust Rank, and unlock more features for the Serenitea Pot and earn rewards. At some point, you'll also be able to unlock the remaining two layouts you didn't pick at first.

How to obtain Furnishings Blueprints, How to Craft, Materials needed

Inside the realm, you can place both indoor and outdoor decorations and furniture, such as buildings, plants, decorations, animals, etc.

After crafting a furnishing, you can click on the furnishings icon in the top-right corner to enter the Furnishings Screen. On the Furnishings Screen, you can place the furnishings you have crafted.

We can get new Furnishing Blueprints by increasing our Trust Rank, completing the Adeptal Mirror, and participating in events. We can also buy Furnishing Blueprints in the Realm Depot or from the Teapot Traveling Salesman.

The Adeptal Mirror is a list of objectives to fulfill.

As for getting materials for crafting, with 1.5, we'll now be able to cut down trees in Teyvat. Each tree variety offers different types of wood. We'll also get materials from ore and plants.

Serenitea Pot - Realm Currency, Realm Depot

As you develop your realm, you'll obtain Real Currency, which can be exchanged with the Teapot Spirit for rewards.

Realm Currency is contained in the Jar of Riches, which has a storage limit. So we'll need to regularly talk to Tubby and empty the Jar of Riches.

We can also access the Realm Depot via Tubby. In this menu, we can exchange Realm Currency for rare realm items, furnishings, and furnishing blueprints. As your Trust Rank increases, more Realm Treasures will be available.

Adeptal Energy

Placing furnishing in the realm increases Adeptal Energy. With a high Adeptal Energy Rank and Trust Rank, we'll be able to get Realm Currency faster, and increase the storage limit of the Jar of Riches.

Genshin Impact - Co-op in Serenitea Pot

The Serenitea Pot will have a co-op feature at launch. We'll be able to visit our Friends' Realms to hang out together, and check the wares of their Teapot Traveling Salesman. What he will be selling differs from world to world.

Future updates

miHoYo stressed out the Serenitea Pot system will still be in development in Ver1.5. More features will be coming later on, most notably a Gardening system.

Genshin Impact 1.5 Beneath the Light of Jadeite will launch on April 28. The game's PS5 native version is launching then as well.
