When is Shadow Ho-Oh releasing in Pokemon GO?

Niantic has confirmed that Shadow Ho-Oh will be making its Pokemon GO debut next week, on Thursday, June 17 at 12 am local time.

There’s no need to threat about rushing to get the Pokemon either as he will be under the control of Giovanni for over two months until Wednesday, September 1.

What else is happening with this new Team GO Rocket Pokemon?

The changing of Shadow Legendaries isn’t something Niantic typically makes a huge song and dance about and the same can be said here.

Niantic has confirmed that there will be a Special Research event that players will be able to take part in that’s based around Team GO Rocket and Ho-Oh, titled “Seven-Colored Shadow”. This research will give players the opportunity to earn a Super Rocket Radar, in turn, making tracking down Giovanni easier.

There will also likely be a shake-up of Shadow Pokemon controlled by Team GO rocket, however, that’s about it.

Be sure to stay tuned to DualShockers closer to the time as we bring you more details around the release of this fearsome new Shadow Pokemon.
