Today, during Sony Interactive Entertainment's E3 2017 press briefing, the house of PlayStation unveiled an unexpected (at least until the trademark was discovered today) surprise, the return of Shadow of the Colossus.

The game is a remaster of the of the original game, and will come to PS4 in 2018. It was announced with a rather nostalgic trailer, and a batch of screenshots that easily show how much the glorious title by Team ICO has been improved visually.

It's in development at Bluepoint Games, which is the same studio that handled the 2011 PS3 remaster of the game.

The original Shadow of the Colossis was released in 2005 for PlayStation 2 (it came to Europe the year after, in 2006) and it cut for itself a cult following among veteran gamers. It'd be interesting to know whether ICO could get the same PS4 remaster treatment, but it's hard to say, considering that it's way older and it aged less graciously (at least visually) than its successor.
