On June 6th, Precursor Games informed its fans it was pulling the campaign for Shadow of the Eternals from KickStarter because it “planned to reintroduce more unified crowdfunding at an undisclosed date.” Finally that day has come. Precursor Games announced their KickStarter campaign for Shadow of the Eternals will relaunch July 25th.
I know we’re all wondering, just how will the fans respond, especially the people who have already donated to the campaign. If you remember, all contributions were refunded. The major problem originally facing Shadow was the lack of momentum. People just didn’t seem that interested.
Described as a spiritual successor to GameCube classic Eternal Darkness, Shadow of the Eternals will span 12 chapters and star Paul Becker, a detective called in to tackle a deadly clash between two rival cults.
Fingers crossed the second time is a charm, if Shadow of the Eternals reaches its goal, it will release on PC and Wii U. On the plus side, Nintendo is working closely with Precursor Games.
