Shadow of the Tomb Raider Lead Writer Talks About the “Emotional, Character-Driven Story”

Square Enix released a new video of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, featuring a brief talk by the Lead Writer about story and characters.

Today Square Enix and Eidos Montreal released a brand new Shadow of the Tomb Raider video featuring Lead Writer Jill Murray.

In the video, Murray explains that as Lara becomes the Tomb Raider she’s meant to be, she will have to decide whether she is a heroine or a threat. This will happen with an “emotional, character-driven story” which will provide a deeper look at Lara’s relationship with her best friend Jonah Maiava. Doctor Dominguez is an antagonist who is “really Lara’s equal” challenging her as his motivations are just as compelling as hers.

You can check the video out below. If you want to learn more about gameplay, you can enjoy DualShockers’ own preview. You can also check out another recent video, and one from the same series released a few days ago, alongside a second clip.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you want to grab a copy of the game, you can currently pre-order it on Amazon.
