Square Enix brought players into a new, gritty take on Lara Croft in 2013, and now her origin story is coming to its conclusion with the upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider, while Square is planning to go all out with special editions and new content for the game this fall.

As part of the game's big reveal today, Square Enix has announced the various special editions, their contents, and what the game's Season Pass will provide to players for the release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider this fall.

Specifically, four overall versions of the game will be available at launch: Standard, Digital Deluxe, Croft Edition, and the Ultimate Edition. The standard version will retail for $59.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will retail for $69.99. The Croft Edition will be priced at $89.99, and finally, the Ultimate Edition will come in at $199.99.

As far as the special editions go, the Digital Deluxe Edition will feature early access to the game 48 hours prior to its release, an Additional Skills Booster Pack, the game soundtrack, and an additional Weapon and Outfit pack. The Croft Edition will feature all of those bonuses plus additional Weapon and Outfit Packs, and the game's Season Pass, and a digital version of this variant will be available. The Ultimate Edition will feature all of those bonuses alongside a collectible Lara Croft statue, an ice axe bottle opener, and a Tomb Raider-themed flashlight.

Likewise, it appears that Steelbook versions of some of these versions will be available (such as the standard game and the Croft Edition) for those that pre-order the game at participating retailers.

For the Season Pass, Square Enix detailed that it will feature "a new adventure every month" post-launch, which appears to include seven new Challenge Tombs (with narrative side missions), alongside seven new weapons, seven new outfits, and seven new skills for Lara to unlock.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 14th, 2018.
