Shadow of the Tomb Raider doesn’t have “Tomb” in the title for nothing, as one of the most relevant elements of the series is the exploration of dark, forgotten tombs that put to the test our skills, our determination, and our puzzle platforming abilities.

The new game is no exception, and today Square Enix released a new trailer showcasing exactly that. While it’s fairly brief, we get to take a look at quite a few tombs that definitely look deadly.

The game’s lovely lighting effects certainly play no secondary role in making those long-forgotten caves look as intimidating as they do.

You can check out the trailer below. If you want to see more, you can enjoy an extensive video showing the secret city of Paititianother trailer featuring on the world, and one on traversal. You should also definitely read our preview from E3 2018.

We recently learned that the game has gone gold, quite early before its upcoming release on September 14th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
