Square Enix and Eidos Montreal released a brand new Shadow of the Tomb Raider video starring UI Lead David Boileau.

Boileau talks about the fact that the team wanted to focus on the "maturity" of the UI's presentation, reducing noise and congestion to create a cinematic experience and avoid sucking the player out of the immersion of the experience.

He also mentions the old adage that implies that when the UI is unnoticeable is actually when it's good.

We also get to see the map. The team went for a top-down approach with something similar to a satellite view, to achieve a grounded approach.
