Monolith Productions recently streamed over 40 minutes of brand new gameplay footage from their upcoming Lord of the Rings title Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.

During the livestream the team showed off a new snowy region of Mordor, as well as five of the game's new wraith skills. These are basically special abilities Talion, the main character of the game, inherits from the Elf Lord Celebrimbor. Players can unlock various abilities from multiple different skill trees in the game, each with its own unique play style.

Last month Monolith revealed new gameplay for Shadow of War at Microsoft's E3 press conference, showcasing the game's massively epic siege battles. The developer also just announced that players will be able to bring over their most loyal companion from the first game in the series, Shadow of Mordor, via a new update.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War was revealed back in February this year. The game was originally slated for an August release but has since been delayed to October later this year. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 10.
