Shadow Warrior Developers Tease a New Game on Twitter
Shadow Warrior 3 just might be coming to the July 11 Devolver Digital Direct.
Shadow Warrior fans rejoice! The series’ official Twitter page posted an image today that reads “teaser trailer filming in progress, quiet please!” It appears that developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital are set to announce a sequel in the very near future. See the tweet below.

Shadow Warrior is a first-person shooter that was originally created by 3D Realms back in 1997. However, in 2013, Flying Wild Hog rebooted the series, bringing hero Lo Wang to a modern audience. The games feature classic gunplay, while also letting players deftly swing Wang’s signature katana during intense melee combat. The reboot was decently well-received, which led to a 2016 sequel.
And now, it appears that this bad boy is becoming a trilogy. Of course, everything here should be taken with a sizeable grain of salt. That said, with Devolver Digital slated to hold its own press conference later this month, it stands to reason that this Shadow Warrior teaser will show up there. We know Flying Wild Hog is supposedly currently working on three unannounced games. While you’d love to see them branch out, the Shadow Warrior series is just too much fun to not get a third entry.
Either way, the July 11 Devolver Digital Direct is shaping up to be quite the showcase. Between this, Carrion, and some new game reveals, it’s going to be a fun show. Plus, I’m still predicting that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is going to release at the event. I’m basing that on nothing but my gut. You heard it here first though.
Make sure to check back next week during the July 11 event to get all the news coming out of Devolver Digital. And, while you wait, both Shadow Warrior games are 75% off on Steam right this second.
