Shank 2 Gets a Release Date, and It Is Soon!

Klei Entertainment, the studio behind the immensely fun cell shaded brawler Shank, has announced that the sequel, Shank 2 will be released soon on all major platforms in Europe and the US. On February 7th, the game will appear on the PlayStation Network (in the US) and the PC, then on the 8th, it will arrive on XBox Live Arcade and the PSN for Europe.

I’m personally very excited for this release, as Shank was one of my favorite games of 2010. It was simple, fun and pretty completely over-the-top in all the best ways. Shank 2 is shaping up to be just as awesome; you can beat someone up with a fish! I don’t recall a game that has let you do that since Dynamite Cop for the Dreamcast. If you need proof of just how awesome Shank 2 looks, just check out the new trailer after the jump.
