WayForward is bringing one of its favorites in the Shantae franchise to the Nintendo Switch. Being already released on the PS4 and PC, to the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse will now also be a part of Nintendo's lineup on their portable hybrid console. This source comes from the Australian Switch eShop, listing it as an item already available for pre-order.

During this third installment of the popular WarForward platform-adventure series, Shantae teams up with her arch-nemesis, Risky Boots, to bring down the ultra-baddie, Pirate Master. Much like the other Shantae titles, the game is humorous and has a very colorful world from its music to its bright level design. Being available since 2014 on other systems, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse still continues to be popular among more present-day platformers, especially among the genre of Metroidvanias.

As of now, the date for the game's release is slated for March 20, but only in a single nation. If the photo below is correct, then the Australian region will soon be receiving Shantae and the Pirate's Curse for the Switch platforms in about a week's time. Even though the title has not been announced for anywhere else outside of the Australian continent, it would be hard to believe WayForward doesn't have plans on releasing their beloved platformer to the rest of the world on the Switch, given how popular Nintendo's new system has become.
