Shaquille O'Neal Confirms "A Shaq Fu Surprise" for The Game Awards 2015

While the world knows him as one of the most famous basketball players in history, veteran gamers may also know Shaquille O’Neal as a kung-fu master from the infamous SNES/Sega Genesis title Shaq Fu, and with its sequel’s successful IndieGoGo campaign last year, it appears tonight’s The Game Awards may give us a new look at the wacky fighting game.

Earlier this week producer/host Geoff Keighley confirmed several guest stars to appear at tonight’s The Game Awards 2015 with O’Neal among them, leading many to believe that the sequel, currently titled Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, to be appearing at the show.

According to a tweet from O’Neal that does seem to be the case, as O’Neal tweeted he will be attending the show and bringing “a Shaq Fu surprise” to viewers at the show, making it likely we’ll see a new trailer or gameplay demo among the world premieres already expected to be seen at the upcoming awards show.

The Game Awards 2015 will take place tonight, December 3rd, 2015 starting at 9pm ET/6pm PT.
