After appearing on Square Enix Collective, Shattered: Tale of The Forgotten King took to Kickstarter seeking $87,748 USD. Today, developer Redlock Studio has announced that it has hit its goal, as well as released a second trailer for the game.

For those who don't know:

Shattered: Tale of The Forgotten King is a both a 2D platformer and a 3D action game in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Set in a strange and shattered world, ruled by Elder Gods, Shattered: Tale of The Forgotten King follows the “Wanderer” on his journey to find memories of his past.

The gameplay consists of 2D platforming and puzzle solving, however, for the game’s 12 boss fights Shattered: Tale of The Forgotten King switches over to a 3D action format where you will dodge, roll, and build up combos in a hack n’ slash-type style.

Shattered: Tale of The Forgotten King also boasts a classic RPG leveling system, a crafting system, and a language system that you will learn through your journey. The more of the Demiurges’ strange language you are able to learn, the more complete and clear the game’s ending will be.

With 5 days left on the campaign Redlock Studio is hoping to reach some stretch goals, the first of which will add dubbing and some additional bosses.

Maxime René, Redlock Studio's Creative Director added the following:

"Reaching this first funding goal is opening a lot of opportunities for us - all this thanks to the community that helped us get to this point. We're now focused on the last few days of the campaign, to increase the scope of the project and realize our dream of making Shattered! It's a big first step for the gigantic universe we're hoping to develop, for (and with) the community."

Shattered: Tale of The Forgotten King is in development for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It currently has no release date. Below, you can check out the new trailer, as well the game's new screenshots:
