Following the announcement of the publishing partnership between Shenmue III developer Ys Net and Deep Silver, the publisher sent in a press release including new images for the game.

The first gives a look on protagonists Ryo Hazuki and Shenhua Ling, alongside a nicely detailed look on a village, the second is a rather breathtaking view on the Great Wall of China with some really lovely lighting. It appears to be an actual screenshot of the game's environment.

You can check them both out in the gallery at the bottom of the post.

Shenmue III was originally announced at E3 2015, contributing to give it the nickname "E3 of Dreams" among many fans alongside The Last Guardian and the Final Fantasy VII Remake. It was then funded via a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign that gathered $6,762,419 pledged by 74,448 backers. Towards the end of the same year, we even had a chance to chat with Director Yu Suzuki himself, and you can check out that interview as well.

The game will be released for PS4 and PC in the second half of 2018, following a recent delay aimed to make the game "Bigger and More Beautiful.” According to a previous announcement, at Gamescom we should be able to see some actual videos of the game.
