Shigeru Miyamoto Confirms Star Fox for Wii U to Be Playable at E3 2015
Coming off a record 2014 with titles like Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Nintendo’s 2015 is already looking promising with exclusives like Splatoon, Yoshi’s Woolly World, and the anticipation around current unknowns like Wii U’s renditions of Zelda and Star Fox.
Speaking in an interview with YouTube channel Smosh Games, Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed during the channel’s latest video that the company will show a playable version of the Wii U’s upcoming installment of Star Fox at this year’s E3 2015, with Miyamoto commenting that “we’ll have a version of it ready at E3 that everyone can play.”
While no screenshots or trailers have yet been released, and details around Star Fox for Wii U are still scarce, Nintendo confirmed at the end of last year that Star Fox for Wii U would release before the end of 2015, and that the title would be releasing before the console’s upcoming new installment of The Legend of Zelda.
Star Fox on Wii U will release in 2015 – in the meantime, you can check out the full video with Shigeru Miyamoto on Smosh Games below, with the mention of Star Fox around the 13:40 mark:
