Today Atlus finally revealed the official title of the new Shin Megami Tensei game, and it’ll be perhaps unsurprisingly named Shin Megami Tensei V.

We also get another look at the game’s possibly post-apocalyptic setting via a brand-new teaser trailer.

First of all, we get to see a rather normal scene, set in the JR (apparently renamed “NR” in the game) area of the Shinagawa station in Tokyo, with two high school students leisurely walking among the crowd. Then the scene cuts to a carnage of demons in an underground tunnel. Lastly, the same two students are attacked by demons in a ruined city, which is identified as being still Tokyo by the presence of the Tokyo Tower in the background, and by the sign for Roppongi and Shinbashi.

At the moment, nothing else has been shared, besides the fact that the game is for Nintendo Switch. There is no release date or price just yet, so it’s probably safe to assume that this is a long way off.

You can enjoy the trailer below, alongside a small batch of official screenshots, which are captures from the trailer anyway.
