Today Sega showcased about one hour of PS4 gameplay of Shining Resonance Refrain, the upcoming remaster of the 2014 PS3 JRPG Shining Resonance.

We get to see a lot of aspects of the game, including combat, exploration, the Shining Dragon in action, and quite a few cutscenes.

Despite being a remaster of a JRPG released over three years ago on PS3, the game certainly looks charming even thanks to the lovely character design by Tony Taka. Personally, as a big fan of Taka-sensei, I can't wait to finally get to play one of his games in English (with Japanese audio, of course).

Speaking of Japanese audio, we also get to see how you switch between languages for the voices, while text will be only in English.

You can check out the gameplay below. If you want to see more, you can watch the announcement trailer for the west, a recent trailer for the Japanese version, another trailer from a few weeks beforea few screenshotsthe first trailer, another recent gallery of screenshots, and an earlier batch of images. We also recently saw some charming illustrations by Tony Taka, while today we heard that the western version won't be censored and will run in 1080p in docked mode on Nintendo Switch.

Shining Resonance Refrain will launch in Japan on March 29th, 2018, exclusively for PS4. The western release will follow this summer for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
