Shining Series Artist’s Character Design Looks Great Even on a Mobile Horse Racing Game

One of the best elements of the Shining series, that Sega stubbornly refuses to localize for the west, is the soft and endearing character design by Tony Taka.

Lately, Tony applied his lovely artwork to something different, a mobile horse racing game for iOS and Android named Starhorse Pocket, still by Sega, that just opened pre-registrations in Japan.

If you want to see what I mean, a new trailer has been released, and you can check it out below. I know, it’s mobile and all that, but it still looks lovely.
